Here is the latest motor I have rewound. It is a HKIII 4035 scorpion motor . A 4035 scorpion is approved for use in IMPBA Fast electric 1/8th scale classes. This particular one I wound for a 3d helicopter pilot. It is a single layer parallel Wye wound motor. The single layer or skipped toothed winding with a 12 arm 10 magnet pole configuration maximizes the torque per ampere output (winding factor). It also facilitates larger wire( more copper) if need be. Essentially parallel configuration of the two wye motors on each half of the stator would reduce the copper loss and resistance and lead to a more efficient and powerful motor. This motor can easily pull over a foot pound of torque and 10 hp. Nitro or Gas model marine motors don't stand much of a chance against something like this.
It sent Ralph Okon's HKII4225 and Christian Lucas's 4130 Lehner outrunners to the waste basket with a 3% higher Eta
