Here is a few pictures of a very nice pitch guage shared with me from an Austrian model boater.
He explains that the pitch guage is a modified Gundert pitch measuring tool that he has modified buy using a digital micrometer that has been modified at its end for his own personal use. The gauge has a full detented 360 degrees of swing and the measurement can be easily changed from metric to standard by the simple push of a button. It doesnt require 40 plates and also can easily measure leading and trailing edge pitches quite easily. This is a nice example of what can be accomplished if one actually uses their mind.

Here is another very interesting Pitch gauge built by an associate of mine Jim Allen A mechanical Engineer which can measure the pitch as well as the helical pitch. It works by using 5 plates that increase the pitch in 1/8 inch or 3mm increments.
